I (Greedy Eater 1) ordered the Waffle Combo which was on the specials menu. The Waffle Combo consisted of a belgian waffle with two eggs any style and choice of sausage or bacon. I asked if I could have glazed strawberries on top of the waffle. The waitress asked how I wanted my eggs and I told her scrambled. I told her I wanted sausage for the meat and she asked links or patties. I told her links. The interesting thing is 5 minutes after taking our order she asked how I wanted my eggs. I told her scrambled...again. She said she had forgot to ask. Come to find out once we got the bill, she never did write scrambled for the eggs even though I told her the very first time she was writing down our order. Greedy Eater 2 ordered the Taffy Apple French Toast. This was also on the specials menu. According to the description on the menu, it consisted of "Thick French Toast stuffed with Sweet Cream Cheese, topped with Apples and Pecans drizzled with Carmel."
A couple of minutes later she brought syrup and told us our food would be out shortly. She told us this again 5 minutes later. Another 10 minutes went by before we got our food. What's even worse was that people who came in 10 minutes after us got their food before us.
Greedy Eater 1 Breakfast: The waffle was okay. I've definitely had better (i.e. fluffier). The glazed strawberries left more to be desired. The two links were a pretty nice size, more like a 1/2" in diameter, but they were lukewarm. Greedy Eater 1 ate all of their eggs, 1 sausage link, and 99% of the belgian waffle.
Greedy Eater 2 Breakfast: Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. There were 4 pieces of texas toast with sliced apples on top, small pieces of pecan, and carmel. The french toast really wasn't stuffed, it was more like two pieces of french toast with cream cheese mixed with a good amount of white sugar slathered on the inside of each french toast slice and not really held together. The french toast was lukewarm when served. The apples were not sweet at all, they had no flavor whatsoever. Greedy Eater 2 only ate a fourth of their plate.
Another item to bring up was one of the table cleaning staff was cleaning the air conditioner vent in the ceiling. While people were sitting at their tables, a lady with a broom with a blue towel over it was cleaning the air vents above the tables. Not sure why this couldn't be done either before or after closing. It seemed like an inappropriate time to clean dusty vents when people are trying to eat.
The total for the two dishes was $20.52. We left a $3.00 tip. Our overall thought was if they can't seem to get breakfast right, definitely wouldn't be confident in eating lunch or dinner there.
